Urban and Hunting!!!

Happy Thursday!! Two more sleeps and it's Halloween!  Wow!  I am once again excited to share my layout with you today!  Someday I will do another 2 page layout, but I have so many pictures to do that only require a single page!!  Today's layout features my husband, Bob and the awesome paper pack , Urban, from Close To My Heart!!  I have used this paper pack for some of my farming pictures and now for my husbands hobby, hunting!  A very versatile paper pack!!

CTMH supplies used:
...Urban paper pack (features sapphire and saffron cardstock)
...Urban compliments
...Adventure fundamentals paper pack (the yellow strip at the bottom of the layout)
*this paper was once again wrinkled and sanded to give it a more "rustic" look.
...Adventure fundamentals sticker pack ("my man")
...Fern Thick Twine
...Green Triangles Enamel & Glitter Duos
...Ink Blot Stamp Set
...Documenting Moments Stamp Set
...Embossed Metal Badge Buttons (retired, but available on my OBA in clearance!!)
...black and cocoa ink

It is truly wonderful how the Fundamentals Collection can enhance so many different types of layouts as it's available in variety packs, with different patterns and each paper has a glossy side as well!  For the month of November, CTMH is offering a Constant Campaign which features the Fundamentals Collection!!  Please check out my OBA for details, or contact me today!!

A Happy Wednesday to you!!  It is a wonderful day in Saskatchewan...it reached a high of 2 degrees celcius and even rained a little.  I'm not sure if I'm ready for this weather.  It would be great if the nice weather stayed until after Halloween!  I am once again super excited to share a single page layout with you!  Another 'thing' that I love about CTMH is the the revamping of the Fundamentals collection...paper, stickers and assortments!!  Please excuse my poor picture quality today...the patch of carpet that usually works for me, just wasn't on the same page as me!! lol

CTMH supplies used:
...Fundamental Adventure paper pack
...Fundamental Adventure sticker pack
...black and poppy ink
...mini stapler
...gold shimmer trim
...kraft 12x12 cardstock for the main page
...scrap paper from the bag full on my desk!!!
...purple hearts enamel and glitter duos
...Crazy Good Stamp Set

With this layout, I absolutely took advantage of the wonderful 'new' Fundamental Collection from the Annual Inspirations!  If you have yet to check out CTMH's great catalogue, you need to do that today!  I hope that you enjoyed today's layout and can 'CASE' it to your advantage!!

Thanks for looking!

Sooooo EXCITED!!

Happy Tuesday to Everyone!  I am so excited to be sharing my post today!  I went so far out of the box for myself that I fell into a brand new box!  Before I began creating today I asked myself, "What do I love about Close To My Heart?"  I have always loved the white core paper that CTMH has to offer as well as the bling!!  With this in mind, I took out one of my favorite pictures, of my daughter and my niece and began falling in love with CTMH all over again!!  I know that you may not be able to feel my excitement about this post, but I'm SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!
CTMH supplies used:
...B&T paper from the Nevermore paper pack
...eggplant, slate, black, and whisper white cardstock
...black and slate ink (for the title)
...sanding kit
...Snapshot Memories Stamp Set (love it!!!!!)
...mini stapler
...retired 'bling' that is available on my OBA!  I definitely need to stock up!!

I was amazed at how quickly this layout came together and how pleased I was.  Usually my techniques are very 'flat' to the page, but I oh so wanted to try something different!!  I love how the white core 'pops' out when you wrinkle the CTMH cardstock, and then I also sanded the wrinkles as well as the edges of the 12x12 page, the Nevermore b&t paper as well as the eggplant.  For contrast, I left the papers layering my photo, as they were.  Once I had layered my photo, I 'popped' the photo up with 3D foam tape.  The biggest 'fall out of my box', was the fact that I did not use any pink paper.  I have always been taught that the paper must match the pictures.  As you can plainly see, the only pink on my layout is the lovely pink flower up on the title box!!  Normally, I would not use up a whole package of bling on a single layout, but since this is one of my favorite photos and I was absolutely loving this layout, it worked!!!  Soooooo Excited!!!!

Christmas??

Good Morning, Everyone!  Happy Thursday!  I hope that you will be having a fantastic day!  I know that it seems early to some to start "talking" Christmas, but for us crafters, it really isn't.  I wanted to try 'my hand' this year with a Christmas Card Buffet, as I see so many of my fellow Close to my Heart Consultants offer this opportunity to their clientele. Besides, what better excuse to get together with your friends to chat and get some Christmas preparation done!!  This card has to be a favorite of mine...so simple, but beautiful!  I even received Bob's 'go ahead' to use it as our Christmas Card and for him to even acknowledge a Christmas card right now, is amazing!!

Thankful for...

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! I finally have another 2 page layout to share with you!  With our Thanksgiving having just been celebrated on Monday, I was trying hard to share a "thankful" layout. As usual, when I give myself rules, it always takes me forever to get a project done.  lol
As you may have noticed, by new saying in life is "Enjoy the little things".  By no means are the people on my page little, but sometimes we forget to be thankful for the people or the life we have right in front of us.
CTMH Supplies Used:

...12 x 12 cardstock from the Adventure Fundamentals Paper Pack
...gold polka dot washi tape (retired, but available on OBA while supplies last)
...kraft and peacock cardstock
...blue dots enamel & glitter duos
...durables round studs (retired, but available on OBA while supplies last)
...retired Christmas paper from last year (strip along the top of both pages)
*flowers are not from CTMH, but you could cut them out with your cricut  and the cricut cartridges that CTMH has! I chose to use these that I had as they had been purchased for the wedding that I just decorated for and I did not want to waste them.

I have yet to decide if I'm pleased with this layout, but it was given the stamp of approval by my family and I realize that when I can't decide about a layout, it's usually because the background is not white!!  :-)

Kaleidoscope and Family!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!  I am so excited to be posting today!  Do you remember my simple sangria post from a couple of days ago?  I claimed that the layout could be used for any occasion.  It was my mission to live by my words.  I like to believe that I'm still a fairly new CTMH consultant and still getting used to the awesome supplies that they carry.  Sometimes my pages can be very "white".  Today's layout is not.  I absolutely LOVE the bright, fun colors of CTMH's Kaleidoscope paper pack!!  Using my layout from the other day, Kaleidoscope b&t paper, and a little 'bling', I have this fun filled layout for you to check out!
CTMH Supplies Used:
...Kaleidoscope b&t paper pack
...black ink
...silver foil tape
...rhinestones ***colored with the Lavender ShinHan alcohol marker!  What a great way to create bling to match your project!!  Thanks to Jacquie for pointing this out at the Crop!!

...daisy white cardstock
...Happy Hooray Stamp Set *available for purchase with Hostess Rewards!!  So much fun!

I hope that you enjoyed checking out my layout as much as I had creating it!  I have so much fun working with the fantastic supplies that CTMH carries and look forward to showing you each and everyone of my creations!!

Wedding Day!!

Hello and Happy Weekend to you all!  As I may have mentioned, I've been helping a friend get ready for her daughter's wedding. Today is the day!!  I am so super excited for them and have only a few more hours to finish their wedding present!!  lol  I know that there is no way the bride and groom will see this blog before they open their present so I can share a few things...they are, of course, receiving from my family and I, a CTMH scrapbook and pages!  Awesome!  At the bridal shower we took pictures of each guest with the bride-to-be and then had them write their wishes on a card.  Using the Design 4 memory protectors, this is the brides shower guest book.  Love it!!  The thing that I love most about the CTMH scrapbooks is that you can mix and match which memory protectors you would like to use.  Using a top load one, I created the cover page for the bride and groom, using the corporations artwork in the catalogue, page 57, as a guide. They only need to place a favorite
5x7 on the page!

CTMH Supplies Used:
...Mr and Mrs stamp set
...black, slate and sorbet ink
...slate, daisy white, sunset, cocoa and assorted b&t papers from Sangria Paper Pk.
...3D foam tape
...Charming Cascades stamp set
...stickers from Sangria complements

**I am now working on a page to introduce the bridal shower and then the bride is on her own to scrapbook the rest!!  The Sangria paper pack is amazing to work with when enhancing a fall wedding!
**My friend had also asked me to do a few thank you's for the lucky couple to hand out...
CTMH Supplies Used:
...sorbet, black, and new england ivy ink
...sponge dauber
*(when adding a second ink with a sponge dauber, ink the whole stamp in the lightest color first and then use the dauber to enhance where you would like the second color).
...September SOTM, Paper Garden
..."Thanks for everything" from a CTMH stamp set from years ago!!

Better go and finish my wedding present!  Thanks for looking!
