A Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge!

As a crafter, a paper designer, a scrapbooker, whatever I feel like calling myself on a given day, you can sometimes get crafters block.  I had been struggling with that over the holiday season.  What do you do?  Explore the internet, pinterest, other companies, do research.  Close to my Heart is near and dear to my heart.  Love it!!  But today I have combined CTMH with a few Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I had noticed on her blog and her Facebook page that Kimmie and a wonderful group of talented ladies do a number of challenges.  They are so talented!!  One of the challenges this month is "Anything Goes".  Of course, and understandably, you have to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp.  Since I have a coffee addiction and she had a couple of wonderful coffee related stamps....
CTMH Supplies Used:
...#3505 Watercolor Pencils (I've had them since I became a consultant, but this is the first time I really used them and they are wonderful!!)
...cranberry, colonial white, kraft and cocoa paper
...cranberry, cocoa, chocolate and cashmere ink
...#A1170 Doodled Designs stamp set
...#D1660 Ink Blot stamp set
...#E1030 Handwritten Print Alphabet Stamp Set
...#D1647 Documenting Moments (the little heart blot)
...adhesive, 3D tape
...Red Hearts Enamels
...retired red bling

All coffee related stamps (the sayings and the cup) are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
I'm not sure if I have done the challenge correctly, but here goes the hope that I can play!!

Thanks for looking!

Urban and my Hubby!

A Wonderful Wednesday to you!!  I hope that you had a great day and and are now having a wonderful evening!  I am excited to be sharing with you a layout of one of my favorite photos of all time!  A picture of Bob in Old Montreal.  Love it!!  You will come to see over time that I can be quite a frugal scrapbooker, except when it comes to the best and my most favorite photos!! *Smile*  In all honesty, though, it is not hard to be a frugal scrapooker when CTMH continues to bless us with such wonderful B&T paper, complements and assortments so we actually 'use' all of our products and not just 'collect' different items!  Almost all of the items used on this layout are from the Urban Collection in CTMH's Annual Inspirations Catalogue.  I have used it before for some of my farming photos and love that it is versatile enough to use withon of our trip photos! I love it when products can be used for multiple themes!!

CTMH Supplies Used:
...Urban WOTG (which includes the stamps used, b&t paper and assortment badges)
...Urban Complements
...Sanding block
...Pacifica (for mounting of journaling rectangles), white daisy and basic black cardstock
...Pacifica ink
...Journaling Pen
...'bling' that is no longer available and causing me to pout!

I hope you enjoyed my layout and can find some inspiration to create!
Thanks for looking!

Day 2 of La Vie En Rose!

Happy Tuesday!  It is a wonderful day here in Saskatchewan as it reached -12 without the wind chill! Yay!  Much nicer than the -38 the other day! I believe that I have two wonderful projects to share with you today...the first, a card for an upcoming Gathering that I have next week. Simple and clean.
My focus was to introduce stamping and using the wonderful paper that CTMH offers.
CTMH supplies used:
...Friend in Me Stamp Set (from the new Seasonal Expressions!!!)
...La Vie En Rose B&T paper pack
...Black Momento Ink Pad
...Watercolor paper
...Tender pink, Cherry pink, Golden yellow ShinHan Touch Twin Markers
...3-D foam tape, adhesive
...Gold foil tape
...card and envelope

*Now would it not be wonderful to take what we learn at a card class and turn it into a scrapbook page that helps us to "preserve and share the moments that matter most"?  I really wanted to test myself as I always say at card classes and gatherings that we can use what we learn to help us with our scrapbooking.....

La Vie En Rose Scrapbook Page!

With just a few extra touches, I have used my previous card to help me create, what I believe is a beautiful single page layout.   You can definitely see the similarities between the two...
All the supplies are the same, with a few extras...
...Pink Shimmer Trim
...Pixie Extra Thick Twine
...Versamark Ink Pad
...Gold Embossing Powder
...Craft Heater
...Mini Stapler
...bling from my 'stash' (available on my OBA in the clearance section)
...Don't forget to journal and tell your story with our Journaling Pen!!

For those of you that are getting to know me, yes, I am once again at one of my favorite hang outs "The Sweet Cup" in Tisdale!  Awesome!! Best place to go for a cup of coffee and a cupcake for someone's birthday!  Or just when you want.... ;-)

Thank you so much for looking today!  Loved sharing these two accomplishments with you!

ps...to get the gold "streaking" look, take your versamark pad, turned over, and lightly streak across your page.  You can choose to do a long "streak", short one, spotty one...I did have to practice as the first time I pressed too hard and it was a gold embossed blob.  :-)  Emboss as normal.

With a new year, companies have so much to share with their customers and CTMH is no exception...on January 1, 2016 Close to my Heart revealed their new Seasonal Expressions!
This mini catalogue is definitely something to get excited about!!  With the three new Workshop Your Way Scrapbooking Programs...the new Thin Cuts...new Stamp Sets (my favorite is Woodland Romance)...honestly, get excited!!!  I would love to, and over time, will share all of these amazing products with you!!!
In early December, my upline Trina, my sideline Char and I drove to Calgary to attend a CTMH workshop where head office introduced a bunch of us CTMH consultants to Charlotte, one of our new Workshop Your Way Scrapbooking Programs!  I have to say, one of my favorite papers yet!!
I am pleased to be able to share these projects with you and super excited that my Montreal pictures are looking fantastic in them!!  Yay!!! I love everything about the Charlotte line...the B&T paper, the complements, the ribbon, the puffies....take a peak....

...Charlotte is beautiful and I can't wait to share Penelope and Regatta with you as well!  Thank you for not giving up on me and taking a peek today!

All the best for everyone in 2016!  Can't wait to continue creating with you!
